Comments about the items on these two pages.

  These items are "new" in that they have never been sold to customers.  Also, it is not "Old Pawn" jewelry, as it has never been pawned.  Therefore, we have created these pages and we are calling it "Old" Southwestern Indian Estate Jewelry for lack of a better description of it.  Some of these items are from an estate of a family which once owned a retail jewelry store in Gallup, New Mexico; one in Flagstaff, Arizona; and one in Safford, Arizona.  The original owners collected this jewelry primarily in the 1960's and 1970's.  A lot of the turquoise stones were mined long before that.  It was all made by authentic Indian artists.  Many of the artists were known personally and were friends of the owners.

Some of the other jewelry is from a jewelry store which closed in Albuquerque, NM about 40 years ago.   The previous owners of this shop retained the inventory, and are just now selling it.   You will find these are not sorted by categories.   Therefore bracelets, rings, necklaces, other things can be found on these pages, all mixed together.  So, good browsing, and maybe something will "catch your eye".     Being 40 - 50 years old, or older, the sterling silver has obtained a desirable patina or tarnish which we are leaving on the jewelry.  To some people, this patina is very desirable, and to polish it off would be a shame.  If, however, you don't like the patina, it can be removed by using an ordinary jewelers polishing cloth.  (which we happen to sell for $8 each - see page #27A)
